Yucca elephantipes is an indoor plant that gives it a touch of exoticism: therefore, it fears frost. Also called “Joshua tree”, the cassava elephantipes owes its name to the bark of its stipe (trunk), similar to that of an elephant leg. Evergreen leaves lanceolate rosette appear at the top of the stipe and can reach one meter. These have a linear appearance with pointed tips. When the leaves are dead, they form a skirt around the trunk before finally falling. The flowers are formed in long white stems.
