Autumn flowers

Gardeners tend to get excited about spring, eager to try new plants and maybe even make a big move and change their landscapes.

And in summer there is the joy of the garden in full bloom. By September, however, even the most avid gardener can start to feel drained, and the best-kept garden can start to look a bit tired.

Some of the fall flowers you’ll see below bloom only in the fall. Others may start their blooming season earlier in the year.

And some of the annuals that are normally considered spring flowers will bloom in the cooler weather of fall, if only for a short time.
